Five Design Trends You’ll See in Weddings This Year (that you saw if you were at our Open House)
Mint Springs Farm just hosted our Spring 2023 Open House Event and it was a full house and a huge success! For those of you who don’t know, Mint Springs Farm was one of the first venues in the Nashville area designed and built to be an all-day, full-service venue. Here’s what’s included and here’s what’s not.
If you’re planning a wedding at the farm, we hold an open house twice a year to showcase our space, florals, design options and basically everything the venue can be. It’s all about the inspiration and a time to dream about your big day! This year we showcased five really great design trends you’ll see in weddings this year.
Design Trend in Weddings: Candles Everywhere
Everyone loves candles, they just make you feel good. Candles are timeless, elegant and instantly elevate a space with warmth and romance. We love the mood in the barn that candles create so you’ll see plenty of them. Hurricanes, votives, floating candles, mercury glass – your options are unlimited.
Design Trend in Weddings: Hanging Florals
Hanging florals by The Bloom House make huge a dramatic statements at weddings. For an elegant romantic feel with a touch of avant garde – think single white roses hanging over your head while you nibble on the most amazing meal by G Catering. Looking for more drama? Think huge suspended installation that spans the entire width of the room filled with luscious greenery, seasonal foliage and the chandeliers of your choice. More into the organic and greenery look? We can do that too.
Design Trend in Weddings: Dessert Bar & Walls
Let’s face it, dessert is our unsung hero. Dessert picks you up when you’re down and keeps you going to the end of the party. Cake is wonderful and we are 100% Team Cake, but dessert bars & wall are where it’s at! Guests love to mingle over yummy bites so keep them out of their seats and interacting with each other over at the desserts.
Design Trend in Weddings: Baby’s Breath Installations
Baby’s Breath is really having its moment and it’s no secret why. The Bloom House created so much beauty out of these darling little blooms. You can create a baby’s breath swag at your cocktail station or a hanging pillowy baby’s breath cloud above your guests table creating a more intimate setting.
Design Trend in Weddings: Photo Op Vignettes
Guests really love photo ops, really they love any way to be interactive in your big day. You’ve already set the mood with your candles and suspended floral decor, you’ve given them opportunity to get up and get social over cocktails and swanky desserts. Now, give them the memory or a photo. Photo ops can be as simple as a neon sign – or elevate with a baby’s breath cloud on the wall, create a seating vignette and set the vibe for some good IG content, or go wild and bring in a custom neon sign and whimsical cascading balloon installation.
